At LinkNow Media, we take what we do very seriously. It is this commitment to every single aspect of our web design business that sets us apart from so many of our competitors in the web design world. One of the areas that we work daily to perfect is the creation of a positive company culture that is inclusive and engaging of all our team members.
Like any successful business, we know that no one person has all the answers. That is why we devote so much time and energy to creating a culture whereby the newest member of the sales team to the company president has the scope and opportunity to contribute positively to our continued success. We can do this because we have created a culture in which all ideas are welcomed, and nobody is penalized for showing initiative on a certain topic.
Here are four ways we have helped achieve this positive company culture at LinkNow Media:
- Empower and Encourage: ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime’. This is one of our favorite mantras here at LinkNow Media and something that we follow closely every single day. We know that by empowering all team members, we are creating and environment where they can grow and prosper. By doing so in an encouraging and non-judgmental setting, we make our designers, sales team and content writers excited about their job and this feeds directly back into the positive culture that we are looking to create.
- Be Respectful: In 2018, there is no place for disrespect or discrimination of any type. At LinkNow Media, we are immensely proud of the fact that our web design hub in Montreal, Canada is a tolerant place made of employees from across the globe. We treat all our team members with the highest level of respect and expect nothing less from them in return. It is this sense of reciprocity that makes our company such a fun place to work.
- Look Out for One Another: In the fast-paced world of web design it is sometimes easy to forget that we are all human and have a whole other life outside of the office. The external responsibilities, added to the occasional stresses of working in such a fast-paced workplace, mean that we may not always be feeling our best. When this happens, it is very important that we are here to care for each other. So, something as simple as asking ‘how are you?’ or making someone a coffee can make all the difference!
- Be Inclusive: As a company that is filled with millennials, it is fair to say that we are a very inclusive and welcoming company to work for. We do this by being accepting of people of all genders, race and sexual orientation and always work hard to create a safe working space where creativity can flow without fear of bullying or confrontation.
