LinkNow Media would be nothing without its hardworking staff, and no one’s harder working than our Local Marketing Account Specialist, Kathy Terry. She’s been with us for many years, and it’s about time we give her a shoutout. Let’s take a look at a day in her life so we can see why she’s so essential to our success.

Meet Kathy

Kathy joined LinkNow in 2014. Since then, she’s filled many positions—Team Lead, Sales Representative, Lead Generator—before coming on board as our Local Marketing Account Specialist.

She still has to wear many hats, though: In her current role, she acts as a customer advocate, a marketing advisor, and a liaison between different departments. She works with clients to resolve issues in their marketing plan, develop solutions, and implement strategies to boost their web presence.

Kathy’s Morning Routine

Kathy’s not a morning person. She’s a late riser, savoring those last few minutes before she has to get out of bed. The snooze button is her best friend, her comfort, as well as her worst enemy.

Still, she manages to leave herself enough time for something she holds dear: her pets. Before leaving, she always sneaks in a few pats and some playtime with her dog and her cat, Freddie Purcury.

Kathy lives on music. On her way to work, she needs to plug herself in to feel energized and ready for work. The day can’t start until the music starts.

The Workday

Kathy enters the office with a spring in her step and a smile on her face. Before getting started, she pours herself a cup of tea, fills her water bottle, and takes a seat at her desk.

Somehow, Kathy has managed to snag the nicest chair in the office. Tall back, plush leather, cushioned headrest—it’s the Cadillac of office chairs, with all the bells and whistles to draw the envy of those around her.

Her desk is no less impressive. It’s spotless: clean, tidy, and exceptionally well organized for how much stuff there is. Kathy likes to keep a whole catalog of teas and goodies, but everything has its home.

 “I’m super picky when it comes to my desk space,” she says. “It always has to be clean, and everything has a place.”

For Kathy, the workday mostly consists of answering clients’ inquiries and helping them with their local marketing. She works closely with them to ensure they’re getting the most out of their marketing package.

The best part of her job? “I love being able to help,” she says. It’s the perfect fit because she’s regularly finding ways to improve her clients’ experiences and assist her colleagues.

Life Outside the 9-to-5

Kathy has many hobbies and interests. She’s a cook, a gardener, an animal lover, and a people-person. She’s learned that cultivating a space is essential for one’s well-being, and it’s something she finds pleasure in doing. Lately, she keeps busy by redecorating her home.

Kathy’s Three Keys for Success in Local Marketing

  1. Listen to your colleagues. Listen to your mentors. But most of all, listen to your customers. Even if they’re frustrated, there’s a reason for it, and it’s our job to find a solution.
  2. To do well, you need to stay ahead of the game and know your product. Learn about SEO, learn about Google, and learn about your clients’ needs. It also helps to know how our services compare to our competitors’.
  3. Stay Organized. Being organized will help you keep a clear head and a clutter-free brain. That way, you’ll be ready to tackle clients’ issues head-on, giving them the solutions they need so that they can see value in choosing us.
